"I have such great memories of recording this album over just 5 days back in 1999.
As a 4 piece band, we did a number of gigs and rehearsals in London to finesse the songs ahead of the studio sessions. They were great fun and I just loved performing and singing with this band. I really wanted to capture their amazing musicality on the album and show off what we could do live.
10 songs were then recorded in one take on day 1 (listen to tracks 21-30) by the brilliant Chris Madden.
The horns arranged by Scott Barnard, BV's and additional overdubs and fixes were recorded on day 2.
Chris and I then spent 3 solid days mixing the songs.
So much work, so many hours, so many mixes all collected here for the first time. I hope you enjoy listening maybe for the first time here or re-visiting the album you may have heard somewhere before."
